"Australia has lost its way. We need to get back on track."

Jody Clune is a third-generation Australian born in Subiaco in Western Australia. She spent her early years in New South Wales before moving to the Sunshine Coast with her family as a teenager.

At a young age Jody left the comfort of home and headed to the Northen Territory to start her own path and studied to establish her first career in Beauty Therapy. Jody’s time in the Northern Territory helped to forge her appreciation for the diversity of this land and the people within.

When returning to Queensland, her career lasted for over 10 years until she turned to full-time family life.

As a proud wife of 32 years and mother of two adult children, Jody understands the changing pressure on families that have shown Australia has lost its way.

The pressure on our youth has always been a concern and resulted in both Jody and her husband working with youth organisations such as Teen Challenge, High School Chaplaincy and breakfast programs.

Having several small businesses, Jody saw firsthand the changing landscape of business in which governments on both sides added more obstacles and pressures. We see the results of government overreach reflecting in the closures of small businesses and trades people leaving needed industries.

The recent global crisis which saw our nation locked down and borders closed, left Jody apart from her husband on separate sides of the country. Jody, like so many Australians, now have stories that should never have been.

After travelling to Canberra in 2022 to ask for answers, in which none were given, she looked for solutions to help get Australia back on track.

This led to the creation of the National Electoral Representative Alignment (NERA), which last year had members in seventy-six Federal electorates across Australia. The NERA Initiative encourages everyday Australians to engage with their local Members of Parliament at their electoral offices on matters of concern.

This grassroots movement supported people such as Gerard Rennick in continuing to ask the hard questions that affect our daily lives and deteriorating standards.

The final straw was watching the Liberal Party abandon Gerard, who continually stood up for the Aussie battler. This demonstrates that the Liberals have lost their way and are out of touch with what is best for Australia and exposing us to socialist policies of Labor and the Greens.

This election needs to ensure good and accountable people have a seat at the table and are working FOR Australia and in the best interest OF Australia.

Jody was able to rejoin her husband in Western Australia Pilbara and now stands for needed change.
