Independent Judicial Commission
SHARE THIS
People First believe the judicial system requires scrutiny and oversight by a dedicated independent body to maintain integrity in the judicial process.
The Queensland Law Society also supports the need for a judicial commission, to quote, “An independent judicial commission will enhance the openness, transparency and independence of the judicial system.” An independent judicial commission would also improve the administration of justice and set out acceptable levels of judicial conduct.
People First will lobby for the creation of an independent judicial commission. Just as politicians should be held to account, so should the judiciary.
